Why don't I see my course on the MyBlackboard page?
There are several reasons why you might not see your course in your Blackboard:
- Instructors may not have made the course available to students yet in Blackboard.
- Students who are not officially enrolled as a student in a course will not be able to access Blackboard course materials. For example, students on a waitlist will not have full access to a course.
- Instructors may merge or combine course sections into one combined course in Blackboard. Instructors may also change the name of the course.
- Classes from previous semesters may be made unavailable to students by the instructor.
If you have questions about your course, contact your instructor.
How do I reset my Blackboard password?
To reset your password (Your multifactor verification must have been set up; typically set up the first time you log into your student email address):
- Go to your student email.
- Enter your student email address (your student ID# @student.necc.edu) and click on "Next"
- Click on the "Forgot my password" link and follow the directions
- If you have not set up multifactor verification, you will not be able to proceed. Contact the IT Service desk at 978-556-3111
To change your password (if you know your myNECC password):
- Same directions as above
Note: Changes to your Blackboard password will also change your password for your myNECC and student email; occasionally password changes can take up to 30 minutes to be updated in the system.
If you have not set up multifactor verification and don't remember your myNECC password or are locked out of your account, contact the IT Service Desk at 978-556-3111 or servicedesk@necc.mass.edu.
