To find works written by a particular author, Ernest Hemingway for example, select Author from the drop-down box and type Ernest Hemingway in the search box. The Library of Congress classification system has books by an author, biographies of that author, and works of criticism about the author's works shelved together.
To find a book-length work, such as a novel, select Title from the drop-down box and search accordingly. To find a shorter work, such as a short story, essay, or poem, select Keyword from the drop-down box and type the title in quotation marks: for example "Letter from Birmingham Jail." In this way, you will often be able to locate works in collections or anthologies.
