Northern Essex Community College offers an Associate's Degree in General Studies with a concentration in Art, and the library supports students of this program by providing print and electronic resources related to the curriculum. This guide is designed to help connect students with the library's resources through the links on the left.

More information on the Art program, requirements, curriculum, and faculty can be found here:

How to Use this Guide

This guide is divided into four pages corresponding with the concentrations currently offered within NECC's Art program:

  • Fine Arts
  • Multimedia
  • Photography
  • Visual Communications

Each page has resources specific to the area of degree focus, but many resources can and should be used across the concentrations, particularly as these relate to the fundamentals of art and design: composition, scale, etc.
