This NECC Library Job-Hunting Guide will help you find resources to create a resume, prepare for an interview, research companies, utilize social media, find professional organizations, and explore job sites on the web.


In addition to our library resources, NECC offers other programs and services to help you prepare for the job search process and find a satisfying and meaningful career path.


Career Services

  • Create an account on NECClink. Familiarize yourself with the system and explore the job and internship search tools. Visit the Multimedia Resource Library to gain a better understanding of informational interviewing and networking and to learn how they can help you in your job search. Use the Resumer Builder to create your resume and cover letter.
  • Register online and attend a College and Career Readiness Workshop to explore careers, to create cover letters and resumes, to practice interviewing, to understand social media in a job search, and to learn how to dress for success.
  • Attend college events to network with NECC faculty and staff. Get Involved! Build your resume by taking advantage of volunteer opportunities, services, student clubs and organizations available at NECC.

Access from Off Campus

To access NECC library databases from off campus, you will need an NECC library card number. If you don't have one, come into the library and get one. If you are are taking online courses, you can also request one online.
